Case Study: The Drake Hotel - Climax Media

The Drake Hotel Bad and bougie

Started From The Bottom

The Drake Hotel is not slowing down. Since opening its flagship location in 2004, the company has expanded to include another bar, two restaurants, a new hotel in Wellington, Ontario, as well as a retail location along Toronto’s popular Queen West strip. All the while, they delivered a simple, but powerful brand message: “Queen West is cool, Toronto is cool, and Canadiana is cool.” With all the planned expansion activities, the company needed a digital platform that could match its ambitions. So, they came to us.

Where We Started

There are a lot of moving parts to The Drake. With several different verticals operating under one brand, their website needed to do more than just communicate the basics. It needed to funnel its users to the proper offering, while educating the user on everything The Drake does. The company’s digital marketing team also needed the ability to update their offerings; whether that was a change to the menu, or a new headliner performing.

What We Did

We designed a website that would engage and excite The Drake’s customers. While site administrators have greater capability to customize and create the content they need, the design was flawlessly executed to show off the style and energy behind The Drake’s brand. We used a modular approach, building out content blocks that The Drake administrators could edit and rework according to their needs.

Onwards And Upwards

The Drake Hotel’s new platform shows Climax Media’s ability to take a sophisticated brand’s vision from start to finish; handling everything from strategy, to design, and finally, technical implementation and testing. Users can now access an engaging and informative platform that illustrates the diversity of The Drake's services.
